Two parties are responsible for processing data relating to the articlos platform:
β’ PAPINGU L.L.C. (Platform Provider, the legal entity behind articlos) β responsible for the technical operation of the Service and the processing of account and content data. β’ Oltion GmbH (Switzerland) β responsible for Swiss invoicing, customer administration and local operations. A data processing agreement (DPA / AVV) is available on request.
We process personal data on the following legal bases:
β’ Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR / Art. 31 nDSG): to deliver the Service you ordered. β’ Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR / Art. 31 nDSG): to improve and secure the Service, prevent fraud, and communicate with customers. β’ Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR / Art. 6 nDSG): for non-essential cookies, marketing emails, and connecting Google Search Console / GA4. β’ Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): retention of invoices under the Swiss Code of Obligations (10 years).
Account data: name, email, hashed password, language and time-zone setting.
Content data: topics you submit, briefs, brand-voice samples, generated articles, publishing history.
Integration data: encrypted OAuth tokens for Google Search Console and GA4; encrypted CMS credentials for WordPress, Webflow, Ghost, Shopify, or custom HTTP endpoints.
Usage data: logs, IP addresses, device and browser information, aggregated analytics.
Billing data (administered by Oltion GmbH for Swiss customers): invoice address, VAT/UID number, originating bank reference (to identify incoming payments).
Account and content data is stored on European cloud infrastructure. AI inference is performed at the model providers (OpenAI in the US, Google in EU/US, Anthropic via Vercel AI Gateway). Transfers to third countries are based on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) or equivalent safeguards.
We do not include personally identifiable information (email, name) in AI requests. Only the topical content you explicitly submit for generation is processed.
β’ Cloud infrastructure: hosting, databases, storage (EU region). β’ OpenAI, Google (Gemini), Anthropic (Claude): AI model inference. β’ Vercel: hosting and analytics (aggregate, anonymised usage metrics). β’ Email service provider: transactional and marketing emails. β’ Oltion GmbH: Swiss invoicing, customer administration, local support. β’ Pexels: image search for featured images (only search queries are sent).
We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.
Account and content data: for as long as your account is active. 30-day reactivation window after cancellation; deletion or anonymisation within 90 days thereafter.
Invoices and accounting records: 10 years per the Swiss Code of Obligations (Art. 958f OR).
OAuth tokens and AI caches: up to 24 hours maximum.
Under FADP / nDSG and GDPR you have the right to:

Email hello@articlos.ch β we respond within 30 days. You may file a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, edoeb.admin.ch) or an EU supervisory authority.
TLS in transit. AES-256 encryption at rest. OAuth tokens and CMS credentials encrypted. Account passwords hashed. In the event of a personal data breach, we notify you within 72 hours per FADP/GDPR requirements. More: articlos.com/ch/en/security.
The Service is not directed at persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via a prominent notice within the Service.
